Battersea Power Station

Fuck yeah! Dark Roasted Blend has a piece about the awesome Battersea Powerstation. I friggin' love that thing!

Awesome stuff happens!

Great headline, eh?

It's true as well take Giant Rat-Eating Plant Discovered in the Philippines or Would the Human Race Survive a Zombie Attack?.

We might - after all - be living in the best possible world.

Wow, Randall Munroe almost made a strip about me. Almost. I speak a bit of French, I have a shitty blog and I almost feel like that about beer. I'd ask if I Can Haz Followers if it wasn't because more or less stopped twittering.

Blog Fail

Shit! I have failed to blog for a whole year! (Did you notice that? I just bloggged about blogging! Now I can add ", Meta-blogger" to my name and get tons of jobs!)

Oh well. Ain't that bad, blogging's stupid anyway when you never update. So to justify updating in the future, I'll just call it "public writing exercise".

By the way, the excuse is the Royal Danish Airforce this time around -- and Switzerland too.

Quantity vs. Quality

Jeff Atwood just posted something on his excellent blog Coding Horror. A blog post! How do he do it? It's amazing!

Self deprecation aside, he has an explanation why he publish so well so often while I fail miserably. Because he has a schedule he follows, posting at least something every n days, while I want to write something really good, before I post something.

And I believe he is right that (focusing on) quantity trumps quality (at least initially). You don't become a better writer by sitting and thinking; you become a better writer by sitting and writing. Although thinking doesn't hurt.

All of which means:

I must write more blog posts!

Really kawaii anime intro at 1/4 speed is... scary as hell

I've been completely obsessed with the REDALiCE Remix of the opening track of the anime Lucky Star. And then I stumble upon this: Lucky Star OP Motteke! Sailor Fuku (1/4 Speed Mirrored). As I said in the headline scary as hell.

Rock'n'Roll can rescue the world

During my semiannual wishlist updating session yesterday, I looked up bandnames on wikipedia to find their discographies so I could write the CDs I miss in my collection. After three hours of fascinated clicking (well, 10 minutes) I see that the band Electric Eel Shock participated in the video to The Bloodhound Gangs song "Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss". Wonder if they have a video up on youtube? I find Electric Eel Shock - ROCK & ROLL CAN RESCUE THE WORLD and is completely taken away.

Thank You, O great Internet for allowing me to find such awesome music in such a Random way.
